Luckyhill Children's Home Foundation currently cares for over 90 orphaned and abandoned children by providing shelter, food, clothing and education in Biakoye-Buduburam, Central Region, Ghana. The people in this region are predominantly peasant farmers and quarry workers and their children attend the Luckyhill International School bringing the total number of students at the school to around 320. The Biakoye-Buduburam region has a private medical clinic and could get access to plumbing and electricity if needed funds were available. One of many goals is to have consistent running water and electricity at the school.
Mr. Eshun has been successful in finding foster homes for most of the orphaned children, but he would like to build an official home for the children who do not feel comfortable in a foster care setting. The children not in foster care are currently living in a couple of small bedrooms at the school with Mr. Eshun's family.
Luckyhill Children's Home Foundation has big plans for the future and hopes to keep adding to the growing Luckyhill International School. Mr. Eshun would eventually like to add a library, computer room, additional Junior Secondary classes, and other beneficial educational programs.
